We just got some pictures of Michael's brother who is in Iraq right now. His wife gave us permission to put them on our blog. I think these are good reminders that our military is still doing great things for the Iraqi people.
This first picture is of Nathan in a sandstorm. I think Abby said it lasted at least 3 days. Yuck! What these guys go through is amazing.
Nathan is the soldier third from the left. They work closely with the Iraqi military, in fact everything now has to be coordinated through them, which can be frustrating at times.
Here is an example of one of the villages where the people live in extreme poverty. This house's roof is sunken in and most of the kids don't have shoes in the village. Nathan's battalion has taken on this village as their special project to really try to help these people have a better life.
Here's a picture of Nathan standing in front of an Iraqi police vehicle. May God continue to keep him and all the other soldiers safe! Don't forget to pray for their families, too.

These photos remind us of what is going on over there. It is so easy to forget isn't it?
