Little House Give Away!

It has been a long time since I've done a give away on my blog and I say it's about time to do it again!

I recently read this Laura Ingalls Wilder biography and I loved it. I thought I would pass it on to anyone else who would be interested. It was a fascinating read and had a lot more information than what is in the books, especially regarding the hard times the Ingalls family went through between On the Banks of Plum Creek and On the Shores of Silver Lake. It also talks a great deal about their lives after the last book in the Little House series, The First Four Years.

All you need to do to win this terrific book is leave a comment either on my blog or on Facebook to be entered. Also, just for fun, tell me which of the Little House books is your favorite and why. My favorite has always been "These Happy Golden Years" because I'm a romantic at heart and love reading about the courtship between Laura and Almanzo. I must have read that book 15 times while growing up! I will put all your names in a hat and the winner will be drawn next Wednesday.

God Bless,
Jackie

OK I tried to leave a comment, but my computer ate it. So I'll try this again.
I would love to enter!
I grew up watching Little House On The Prairie on TV.
I only remember reading Little House In The Big Woods. So I guess that is my favorite.

What a great giveaway! Sounds very interesting!
My favorite is Little House in the Big Woods, but I loved them all! Can't wait to share them with my kids when I start the Prairie Primer with them this fall. :)

I had never heard of this book, what a fun giveaway.

My favorite is probably Plum Creek because I have great memories of hearing my third grade teacher read it out loud to us.

I love having you along on my homeschooling journey this year, has been so fun.

Ooooh...a giveaway?! Thank you for hosting! I loved all the "Little House" books, but, like you, I would have go say "These Happy Golden Years" would be my favourite too. :-)

Love, Camille

Sounds like a neat book! I read all, or most of them growing up, but I don't remember what happens in which book (and have forgotten a lot about them in general), so I really don't know my favorite! (Does that make me ineligible? Lol) I'm looking forward to reading them again with my girls!

I like the one about Almonzo best, but when I was a child and in a very disfunctional home, Laura was my escape. I read and reread the whole series so many times I had to get a new set. I would love to read her biography and pass it on to another person as well. Thank you for this opportunity.

Just found your blog this past week-end. I've read these books to my girls (twins now 14, one just turned 13 today, and youngest daughter 11) and am now reading them to my 3 year old son! I think Farmer Boy is my current favorite but it has changed over the years. My just turned 13 year old has started her own collection with birthday money and this would be a great addition to it. Thanks for the chance to win!

Hi! You know, I don't know that I've read any of the books in their entirety (unless I did as a child and just don't recall!) but I was just thinking last week that I would love to read them to my children when they get just a tiny bit older and I even pulled one off the shelf at the library the other day!

I have actually never read a full little house book. I grew up watching the tv series. I decided I wanted my daughters to read the books, we are starting Prairie Primer hopefully in September :)

This looks great! We'd love to win. It's hard to choose one favorite Little House book, but I might go with the very first one, Little House in the Big Woods.

Thanks for the chance to win! I love your blog and the fun ideas you share.

I love Farmer Boy the best!

My favorite is The Long Winter. I think of all the books, this one makes it easy to really put yourself in their place and see what it was like for all those families to struggle, and how working together helped everyone in the end. I know my heart was so happy when they finally got that Christmas barrel from the train! Haha!
