Rina "Bee" A One Year Old!

Rina "Bee" a one year old! Yes this happened back in May, but I wanted to do a catch up post. She was a bit of a diva with a "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to" vibe going on. But we all had fun with the bee theme. It was a small party, but it was fun.
Can you believe an 11 year old made this cake? Our homeschool friend, Gracia, made both this awesome bee cake and Rina's personal cupcake.

We kept things simple with a yellow, black and white theme. I even had some yellow iris blooming and they added a beautiful touch of color to the table.

Deviled eggs, blueberry and pineapple skewers, olives and lemonade were on the menu.
My beautiful twin sis was at the grill.

My niece, Jess, kept Rina busy. Jess also took pictures for us, as did Diana.
Cupcake killed!
Frosting beard!
We also hired Gracia to make us a bee pinata. It turned out so adorable!

Rina had fun whacking the bee! Of course the older kids were happy to finish it off for her.
Rina got spoiled with lots of clothes and toys including this bee swimsuit. Of course we had to get her a tutu swimsuit as well. She wore these to the aquatic center this summer and they were always a hit.
So happy that all the grandparents were able to make it to Rina's party! We tried to take a picture with each grandparent, but Rina was being a mama's girl and wouldn't have any of it. This is Michael's parents, Ernie and Kay.
 Larry and Mom.
Diana and Dad
Couldn't end the post with a pic of Rina crying, so here she is happy as can be climbing the steps. Now she's climbing on chairs and running all over the place. Can't believe how fast she is growing. I'm embracing these moments because I know how fast they go.

Happy Birthday, my dear daughter. You may have been a surprise to us, but God knew exactly how much our family needed you! You are a joy and delight to our hearts and we can't imagine life without you.

Your Loving Mama

Hope you are all doing well. We've had a very, very hot summer. Can't wait for fall.
Have a great weekend!
