I saw this T-Shirt and it was so Josiah, I just had to get it for him. It is a Christian t-shirt that says, "Weapons of Warfare - Called to Duty" and shows a soldier praying. He loved it!
I got this 50's dress at a yard sale and it is the right length for Hailey to make into a "Little House on the Prairie" outfit. Plus it has a great twirl factor. When you're a girl, it all boils down to how it twirls!
When I visited my sister's house about a month ago, I brought along this "Tangled" wig. My nephew confiscated it to help with his "Hippie" look. Too funny!
Josiah and Hailey were making cookies yesterday and I look over to see this scene. All I can say is, "Don't ask me!". Not sure what the flotation device was all about, but as us homeschoolers often say, "OK, then!" When he comes up with these crazy outfits, I always tell him he looks like a homeschooler to which he proudly declares, "That's 'cause I am, Mom!"
So I've got a good one on me! When my sis was up for a visit, we got all 7 kids in the van and pull up to church (quite a feat in itself). When Josiah got out of the van, I noticed he was wearing his snow boots. I got after him and continued to walk towards the church. Something felt funny. I looked down and I was wearing my slippers! Needless to say, we ended up going home to change shoes. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! LOL!
A couple of weeks ago, we got to go to a really cool juggling presentation about gravity that OMSI put on. The guy was amazing! We were really blessed to be able to go. Best part is that it was free!
I thought this short video of Hailey acting like she was a fish playing the piano was cute.
Hope you are all having a great week. We are still waiting on our house to sell in God's timing. Things are gradually wrapping up for the year, AWANAS, Creation Science Class and soon MOPS. It is kind of nice to be slowing down.
God Bless,
Jackie
I always thought I was being a great mom when I let my kids wear whatever they wanted around the house and even out in public. When they got older one of my daughters was a little embarrassed and said, "Why did you let me go out in public looking like that?"
ReplyDeleteOh well, she got over it. :)
I think the floatation device while cooking is funny! Fun that they were making cookies together and having a good time. Thanks for sharing and will keep your house sale in our prayers. Having a bit of land would be fun. I could do something with ours but there's no time. Thought about growing some lavender though. I have some. But it's still in pots. Maybe I'll turn my raised garden bed into a flower bed. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I'd recognize that K beater anywhere! It get lots of use in my home. Ah, the floating thing around the middle would be a big surprise to him if it got warm on the stove and popped!
ReplyDeleteLaughed about your shoe and church story! I showed up one day with one black shoe and one dark navy blue shoe - and the lady I was greeting would do nothing but stare at my feet.
I will laugh over the slipper incident for all time!
ReplyDeleteLoved Hailey's fish music.
Heehehehe, I cracked up when I read ya got on to hubs for snow boots and you had slipper on your feet. Ye may not live that one down sweetie.
ReplyDeleteThanks for lettin' me now about the message ya got.
I've notified Hot Biggidy Blog who provides my background. Funny since my background is not a Shabby Blog background.
God bless ya and have a marvelous day sweetie!!!
I'm laughin' at those kid antics again! Heeehehehe!
ReplyDeleteI contacted Blogger, Google and Shabby Blog. Google had heaps of folks reportin' the same thing. I do have some Shabby Blog buttons.
I had no problems commentin' even on those blogs who were throwin' the warnin'. Go figure.
Hopefully the problem is resolved but thank you so much for lettin' me know what happened.
It's affected my comments and responses to the book I'm promoting. I wanted to get a great response for her. Many who agreed to her blog tour didn't show. Sad.
God bless and have a fantastic weekend sweetie!
