Easter 2014 Amature Photo Shoot

My friend, Charlyn, took this family picture of us outside of our new church home. I thought she did a great job.  Thank you!!!!
I was able to take photos of the kids on our homestead. Hailey was old enough to pick out her dress this year. She loved this "fairy dress" with the satin butterflies all over the bodice. This dress fit Hailey's personality all the way.

Yep, they love each other, despite all the sibling bickering. I just love this pic :)
Hard to get a traditional picture of Josiah.

This is my favorite of both kids together.
 My monkey boy!
Love this tree. Don't know what kind it is, but it sure smells heavenly. Michael took this pic of me in my new Easter dress. I splurged and bought it on sale with some new jewelry and shoes. It was so fun to have something new to wear. It has been many years since I bought a new dress. Mom calls this my "Duck Dynasty Lady Pose" ;)

Had fun snapping and editing pics. Of course it helps to have two children who love the camera. I save so much money and I love doing it. Editing can really help when you can't afford an expensive camera. Someday! I need to start saving my mad money up for a good one :)

Thanks for stopping by,
Jackie

Easter 2014

Our church put on a wonderful "Passion" play. They did an excellent job. This is a big commitment for these folks and I appreciate their time and energy so much as they brought the Resurrection Story to life.
Our pastor played the part of Jesus making his way to the Cross.

The whole cast!
Easter morning surprises. My step-mom made sure we had Easter surprises every Easter all the way through high school. I appreciated it so much and I want to give my kids the same tradition. I give small gifts and one chocolate bunny so they don't get too much sugar that way.
Couldn't help but print out the "The Bunny" lyrics to one of the my favorite Veggie Tales songs.
The Bunny, the bunny, whoa I ate the bunny

I didn't eat my soup or my bread, just the bunny
The Bunny, the bunny, Oh I love the bunny
But now I feel sick in my head from the bunny.

I didn't eat my salad, I didn't eat my steak.
I had too much candy, I got a tummy ache.
I need to eat good food to help me to grow,
I'll obey my momma, cause she loves me so!

Yeah i'll go to church, and i'll go to school.
That stuff is important, and I know ooooo....

(Girls in backround:)
I don't want no pickles, I don't want no honey,
I just want a plate and a fork and a bunny
I don't want a tissue when my nose is runny,
I just want a plate and a fork and a bunny
I don't want to tell you a joke that is funny,
I just want a plate and a fork and a bunny
I don't want to play on a day that is sunny,
I just want a plate and a fork and a bunny
(Repeat in backround)

End: The Bunny, the bunny, whoa I ate the bunny
I didn't eat my soup, or my bread just the bunny.
The Bunny, the bunny, Oh I love the bunny
But now I feel sick in my he-e-e-aaad fr-om the bu-unnnyyyy!!

I got Michael a fleshing tool for Easter. This will make it much easier for him to scrape the hides he tans naturally. That Easter Bunny better run!
I tried making Resurrection Cookies for the first time this year. They tasted good, but they weren't hollow or "empty" like they are supposed to be. I think my oven just doesn't hold the heat in for as long as it should. No surprise since the oven is almost 40 years old. I pray it will last as long as we have this trailer house because it would be nigh on impossible to find another one.
Hailey and Josiah still love the hunt! We had a lamb dinner with all the fixin's with my mom and step-dad and our new friend, Joe. Fun times!

I'm planning on posting our official Easter 2014 photo shoot next. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter and were able to celebrate and reflect on the true meaning of the day. He has risen, He has risen indeed!

God Bless,
Jackie
