Dressin' Up

I love how creative kids can get. I thought I'd post a few cute pictures of some of the outfits my kids come up with. Hope this brings a smile to your face this cold Feb day.

Josiah bought the Indiana Jones hat and (soft) whip with his Christmas money. He's using the Civil War haversack his dad sewed up for him as his Indiana Jones "man bag". He absolutely loves anything to do with Indiana Jones.

Hailey wanted to wear my apron, so I folded it and tied it around her. It looked more like a cute sun dress on her.
Josiah discovered my elf ears that I bought a couple of years ago when was Arewyn (from Lord of the Rings) for Halloween. He wore them for 3 days. He wanted to be Legolis (sp?).

Hailey is obsessed with shoes, kind of like her Aunt Stacie. She loves to clunk around in daddy's combat boots. Yes, my baby wears combat boots!

Dress up is so much fun!!! My oldest son went through an Indiana Jones phase and he wore a bag just like that. Love the pointy ears :) Your new background looks great!!! I was trying to do St. Patrick's Day but ended up doing Easter and now I don't want to mess with it and lose everything again. I guess someday I will pay some money to have it customized but not yet :)

Have a good day!!!!

I've never had a problem losing anything when I use the free background from "Cutiest Blog on the Block".

I remember when my kids would put on my boots and try to walk around the house in them. My second son seemed to love it the most. he's 7 now and he still loves to dress up in costumes at every opportunity. I wonder if I'll miss dressing up as a soldier every day when I'm out of the Army.

Jonathan,
Josiah was 9 months old when Michael was deployed to Iraq. That poor kid wore nothing but camo for the first few years of his life. I love to dress our family up in patriotic clothing. He still loves it! I bet your kids will love it even if you are out of the Army. Thanks for leaving a comment. I'll try to find the author of Revolution. I'm thinking it was George Barna, but not positive. I let someone borrow it and never got it back. I'll see if I can find the author on the net somewhere.
