Watermelonade Recipe
I discovered watermelonade this summer and just had to share the recipe. I originally got the idea from a recipe I saw in Miss Kay's (star of Duck Dynasty) new cookbook. I tweaked it a bit to my taste. Thought I would post my version of watermelonade. I like watermelonade because it is healthier than regular lemonade and has less processed sugar. Don't know what to do with that tasteless watermelon you picked out? Make it into watermelon and and add lime juice and sugar until it tastes good to you.
Easy Watermelonade Recipe:
1.) Fill your blender about 2/3 full with smallish chunks of watermelon.
2.) Add the juice of two limes. Blend for about 1 minute and taste.
3) Add sugar or stevia to taste and blend again about 2 minutes or until watermelon is completely smooth.
4.) Poor into a mason jar or pitcher and do as many batches as you like.
5.) Add fresh mint leaves to jar for a cool refreshing taste. If you really like mint, you can blend some leaves up with the watermelon.
Add ice to jar or glasses just before serving.
Enjoy,
Jackie

Sounds yummy. I don't buy watermelon as they are too big for our family. I did buy a cantaloupe a couple weeks ago that was not good even though I let it ripen! Sigh!
Megan bought an electric ice shave machine today. She has some fun ideas without all the sugar as well. Now she just needs a place to put it that's not in my kitchen. My cupboards are maxed out! Thanks for sharing your cool recipe!
Hi Jackie! How nice to see a post here, especially as I know so much of your time is taken up with cuddles and baby coos just now. :))
I have to admit I am no good at picking a good tasting watermelon so I will use this recipe today. We have one in the kitchen right now that just plain doesn't taste good. Thanks so much for sharing and give that baby girl a hug for me.
Have a great weekend!
