I put my favorite at the top of this post. I shot these photos a couple of weeks ago at a local park known for its native grasses and forbs. God blessed me because the next day it got cold and the storms began hitting. The kids were so cooperative and I managed to get some fun pictures of them posing as well as playing.
Hailey couldn't resist tickling her brother with long piece of grass. Look at the mischievous look in her eye.
My former employer who was an amazing soil scientist, has a memorial stone in this park. Hailey took some time to pray for him. Bob would have loved that.
I had a blast taking these pics. I don't have a fancy camera, but I'm trying to do the best I can with what I have. All you bloggy gals who are amazing photographers are inspiring me to try to do better with my pictures. I'm watching you all and what makes a good picture. So keep them coming! In the meantime, I'll keep practicing until I can afford a better camera :)
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
God Bless,
Jackie

Jackie...these photos are absolutely gorgeous! Your children are adorable and very photogenic. Are you going to do a mural of these in a frame...oh....what a treasure that would be!! They are growing up so quickly....SO quickly!!!! Enjoy these precious days.
Love,
Camille
Ooo, that is as good idea, Camille. I never thought of that!
Great pictures Jackie! You chose an awesome background.
I get a little nervous too when I see pictures of my kids looking so mature and grown up. Yikes! Not too many more years left. Why does time pass by so quickly?
Thanks, Ruth! The time goes way to fast!
Beautiful photos of your children...you did a wonderful job taking them Jackie!
Blessings!

Your photos of your adorable and growing children are great. It doesn't matter what type of camera you have as long as you compose your photos well, which you did! I'd just watch out that you don't cut arms and hands off people and watch what is behind heads. No poles, tree or fountains.....Don't like something in the photo, move the subjects or move the camera. I have been places where I wish I could chop off a tree branch or move power lines but it's not allowed! Keep up the photo work, practice, practice....you are the only one that can make your photos great. That's what I heard a pro tell people at a seminar awhile back. It's true. I love photography and I'm always learning new things. Take care and have a great week!
OH MY GOODNESS! Jackie, these are GORGEOUS! Josiah and Hailey are growing up! They are both so adorable. Josiah is getting to be quite the young man and Hailey... wow, what a beauty!
You did a wonderful job! I started out just like you with a non "fancy" camera. Let me give you a little clue... it isn't the camera! It has a lot to do with lighting and composition of the shots. You did fantastic!
I do have a camera that I can change the lenses on, but it isn't top of the line. Like you, I just keep practicing.
Jackie, these pictures are so beautiful. You are quite the photographer. Love the blue of the mountains and the blue of Josiah's shirt…did you plan that? Your children are so gorgeous!
Thank you for your encouragement, ladies!
Jackie,
It is funny you should mention the color of the mountains because they are actually called "The Blue Mountains". And, nope, I didn't plan it, in fact I completely lucked out when I shot this photo. As I had the children duck down into the teasel, I noticed the mountain in the background. God really blessed me!
You did a wonderful job with your photos and your children are quite lovely.
These are wonderful! They do look so grown-up, they have changed since last I stopped by. They are beautiful, and you can see their little personalities too!
